Steel Plate Pretreatment

The Shot Blasting and Priming Machine integrates blasting, coating, and drying of workpieces such as sheet steel, profiles, pipes, or steel structures into a single automatic production line. This system is ideal for scenarios with lengthy manufacturing or storage times between blasting and final coating. To prevent rust formation, a weld primer is applied, providing excellent corrosion resistance for several weeks.

The line can process sheet widths up to 5000mm, with passage speeds ranging from 1.0m/min to 5.0m/min.

The blasting chamber liner is manufactured completely from high manganese steel. This material is hardened to handle intensive shot blasting from 35HRC to over 60HRC. Liners are attached from the outside for easy replacement. To prevent shot leakage, several rubber curtains are fitted in heavy-wear areas, mounted in a V-Track for quick maintenance.

Abrasive Cleanup: To avoid blast media accumulation, rotation brushes and screw conveyors return media to circulation. A blow-off station with high-pressure ventilators ensures all remaining media is removed from the workpiece surface.

Spray Room: After blasting, the metal moves to the painting booth where equipment provides a coating thickness of 15-20 microns. To protect the wet paint, the workpiece is transferred via a chain conveyor with minimal contact bearing elements. Overspray is captured by air flow and directed through labyrinth filters.

Drying Room

Drying Room

The primer drying chamber works in recycling mode. Heated air is combined with 10-15% fresh air intake to prevent solvent oversaturation. Temperatures are adjustable from 30°C to 80°C depending on the primer type. Specialized chain conveyors protect the painted surface from damage during transport.
